Mindbridge Software Launches MindGuardTM Corporate Data Monitoring Service
Finding Corporate Data Hidden on Employee Workstations is Now a Reality
Norristown, PA –
April 17, 2007— Mindbridge Software (http://www.mindbridge.com), an open source business innovator, announces the launch of MindGuard™, an information monitoring service that searches for and finds corporate sensitive data in network accessible files stored on servers, workstations and laptops. MindGuard is the first open source-component managed service the company will offer to clients and resellers. Delivered as a SaaS hosted either @Mindbridge or @Customer, MindGuard allows executives and other designated users to determine where their corporate data resides, and whether that data is .accessible to those employees with a "need to know". The service then summarizes its findings via an executive dashboard or report so that remedial action may be taken if needed.
"The recent epidemic of laptops and hard drives gone missing has led to a tidal wave of security breaches," says David Christian, CTO, Mindbridge. "Credit card numbers, social security numbers, patient information, financial and other records of hundreds of thousands of people have been lost or stolen. The MindGuard service is built upon open source software components, thereby supporting a rapid and continuous improvement process. Mindbridge provides enterprise management and support of the solution to support corporate deployment, management, feature updates and executive dashboard reporting. MindGuard's current features include:

- Auto scheduling of searches and exception handling rules
- Data archiving and restoration
- File and data classification and usage logging
- " Executive dashboard views and drill down to aid in immediate remediation activities and compliance monitoring efforts
Over the course of the next year the service will expand to include:
- SOA/ESB component architecture to facilitate the integration of other infosec legacy and open source applications into a common job scheduling and reporting framework
- Real-time email scanning
- Relational database/ERP data scanning and inventory
- Workstation "phone home" in-case of physical compromise
